THE RULES.

yea, rules suck. but you know we need 'em. so there's pretty much one main rule i want to get past all you sexy roleplayers. follow the rules. mkay? thanks, loves.

CHARACTERS & POSTING.
ok, so. when it comes to characters, you can have as many as you want. but you have to keep them all active. yes. that means - one character per account. even for twins. that's just the way things are, people. oh but then there is that rule about gender ratios. it's either a board has too many dudes, or too many chicks. we ask that for every two girls that you have - join as one boy. and vise versa if needed. we will be keeping track.

when signing up here at ultimatum, we ask you register properly. that means after you've read the rules, check out the bands, figure out who you're going to play, fill out the template correctly, and wait patiently for an admin to accept you. yea. patiently. that means don't be bugging an admin to accept you. you shouldn't expect us to accept you right away anyway. we've all got lives. which leads to another rule, but that's later on. be sure to use real people for your play-bys. no manga, anime, drawings, etc. and don't use people you know personally like your best friend's girlfriend or something. use celebrities or something. so once you're character gets accepted, it'll be moved to the 'accepted' board and you'll basically just know you've been accepted. we ask that once that happens, you change your display name to your character's first, middle, and last name. it makes the site look prettier. and you know what else makes it prettier? fancy and pretty signatures and icons. they're gorgeous, right? don't make any plots or claims with anyone until after you've been accepted. just because we said so. hah. but make sure to do all that after you have.

you know what we don't like? there's a few things. such as short posts. that's a nono. when posting, you're posts should be a minimum of 400 words. it's not hard people. oh, and we don't count codes. got it? that means three or four chunky paragraphs of yummyliciousness. oh yea. we eat that shit up. oh and then we also don't like perfect people. you know...gary-stus and mary-sues? don't you just hate those words? and then obviously godmodding. that's a huge nono, and if you're here you should really already know what that means. use proper punctuation, grammar, blahblahblah. and please use the spell check. it's nice, trust me. we also only use third-person here. mkay? because it's way better than first person. and if it wasn't already obvious, speak english. period. and like a lot of sites we've got a codeword for the template. bangbang shootemup yea! got it? now you'll be even closer to being accepted if you read these lovely rules.

GRAPHICS & SIGS.
oh yeaa. they make everything look beautiful and delicious. yea...delicious. because we're so totally sexy like that. we don't mind what you have in your signature or for your icon as long as it is a picture of your character's play by. it can't be anything random or something like 'northern downpour sends it's love' in your icon. you know? oh and did we mention that it cannot have any nudity at all? that's disgusting. and that is not what this site is for. that's just sick. as for the play bys, you already know they have to be real people. if we decline your character because of the play by you picked, don't get angry. it is either because someone has already claimed that play by or the person just doesn't fit into the board's mood, plot, and theme. don't ever take rejection seriously over the internet, people.

i know not everyone has those fancy photo editing programs like photoshop, which is why we have a graphics request forum for you to either look at member's graphic galleries or request some graphics for members to fill out for you. we ask that you follow that person's personal request form rules when asking for one because not everyone is the same. though, it should be common curteousy to rehost and credit. doesn't matter where you got it. we don't want to be caught up in some legal action shiz or whatever, so credit and rehost!

CONDUCTS & MISC.
ok, before you ask - yes, this site is in fact rated 'r.' sex, drugs, and rock n' roll do happen. if you aren't comfortable with that, then you don't have to roleplay that stuff. of course we'll make exceptions. it's not like we require you to roleplay sex and drug use, because we don't. we do ask that for the sake of those who aren't comfortable with reading about that stuff, that if you are about to roleplay any of that please put a warning/rating in your thread's title. i.e. 'm, pg-13, r,' etc. etc. we don't want to make our other members feel uncomfortable because we want you all to enjoy it here at ultimatum. as for character deaths, we'd ask that you not have any of those. this isn't a soap opera, this is a band roleplay, so we don't really see how someone would die on a band tour. (or, you get what we mean right?) pregnancies are welcome, but like every other site we ask that you let an admin know before hand. we don't want fifty chicks out there popping out babies because that's just not cool. we also ask that band members not become pregnant. (we don't care about anything else, just no pregnancies for band girls.) that means we're leaving all the pregnancies to the band staffs here at ultimatum. (oh but band boys - you're welcome to be the daddy.) so i know we all love drama, but let's get creative with it. mkay?

everyone here deserves respect. no flaming, racial comments, not bothering members to reply to threads, no derogatory terms/inflammotory remarks, mean stuff, blahblahblah. we don't like it. make the world a better place and be the best person you can be. kay? even if it means starting out on the internet. one small step at a time people. being annoying isn't being respectful, and will do nothing but piss us admins off until finally - three strikes and you're out. we try not to be mean admins, in fact - we're pretty freaking awesome people. we're nice, we swear. you just have to follow these rules and be a good member in return. if you don't, then an admin will pm you a warning. when you get to three, you'll be suspended for a period of time. if you return and act with the same unacceptable behavior, you will be banned. simple as that. remember that thing about having lives that we mentioned a bit ago? yea, well - we've all got 'em. we know you're busy a lot and can't be online every minute of every day, but we ask you to at least log on once every two days if you haven't posted an absence in the absence board. if you are inactive for two weeks without an absence notice, you will be moved to inactive and eventually deleted. and no one wants that. so be active as best as you can. kay?

so we lovelovelove creativity here. that means use new faces, make new pairings, new sub plots, etc. creativity is key, my friends. we think that faces that have nothing to do with each other are the most epic couples ever. branch out. it's fun.

and finally, we pretty much demand that you have fun! well, not demand, but you know.
