overall persona: At first glance, you would probably think that Lintley Wimund is a rebellious, tough girl and you really wouldn't be wrong. Linny is always finding an excuse to show to people that she is a rebel, or that she is tough. (Usually though, she doesn't have to try to show people.) She may seem a little conceited, and occasionally she can be. She finds it hard to listen to people talk about themselves or something that happened to themselves. Usually she will direct the topic back to her, or something related to her and she doesn't mean to. She does feel bad when she does though, but she just can't help it.
Linny's hair may be a sign of her rebellious attitude. She is always looking to have fun, and loves to party. Like many partiers, Linny is also a drinker. Her ability to stay sober though while doing so is rather strong, so it takes a few to get her drunk. Either way, sober or drunk, she is a really fun person to be around. She likes to make people laugh, and she loves the looks on their faces when she does. To her friends, Linny is pretty much the same she is around everyone else but she actually cares for them. She would do anything for her friends, which is why around them she acts a lot more caring and care free. She feels like herself around her friends, and feels incomplete without them.
Enemies of Lintley, beware. She holds grudges for a long time. And it may seem wrong, but she also judges people by first glance. As said before, it is just who she is. She may not be proud of that, but she thinks that individuality is very important and there is no doubt that she is an individual. She likes to challenge her enemies. Whether it be at drinking, Guitar Hero, or maybe a 'Battle of the Bands.' Linny is very competitive, and it shows when she plays games like that. She is always doing something to win, but never cheating. She can also be a bit of a sore loser when she loses too. Some have told Linny that she gets on their nerves, or they think that she is annoying and ignorant. Those are also accurate statements, because she is both those things and she knows that she gets on peoples' nerves but she doesn't really give a damn about what people think or say about her.
, fall on your ears from criminal dimes !
mother: oh that woman? pft. lucinda pratt is her name, and being a bitch is her game. she's fifty-five now and a stay at home mom.
father: the man who has always been there for me would be paul wimund. he's fifty-seven and a computer technician.
siblings: i've only got two. and guess what? i'm the youngest. first there's coralie cape. she works at the pharmacy in a wal-mart and she is thirty-one. then gavin wimund is twenty-seven and unemployeed. he's pretty much a bum.
other family: ew. really? you want to know about them? ugh. well, when my mom remarried she had to go and get some guy that already lived with a freaking circus. i don't know what any of their jobs are because i don't really like any of them but there's Kiefer and Taylor and they are twenty-two, Jericho is twenty, Cheyenne is seventeen, and Jacob is fifteen. Then my half-brother and half-sister Tevin and Delaney are both ten.
children: i have none, thank god.
birthplace: i was born in a small, stupid town in north eastern indiana.
date of birth: i was born on july eleventh nineteen ninety.
overall history: When Lucinda and Paul finally decided to have just one more child, the result was Lintley. Her older sister Coralie, was twelve at the time, while her brother Gavin was eight. The two had nicknamed their new sister with the name 'Linny' and ever since then, it has stuck with her. She wasn't born with the bright, multi-colored orange hair, she was actually born with a very light strawberry blond color. (She began to dye it the moment she turned fifteen, when her father said she could.) When Linny was just about three, her parents were going through very tough times. Not financially or anything, but they were having troubles with each other and they were just plain old getting tired of one another. For about a year, Coralie was like Linny's mother. She was actually the one who cared for Linny because Lucinda couldn't handle being a mother, and Coralie, Linny, and Gavin weren't even sure if their own mother even loved them. When Linny turned four, her parents finally got a divorce. When it happened though, Paul went into a small depression for a while. Linny didn't understand why her father was so sad, after all she was only four and a half. Soon enough though, Coralie explained it all to her four year old sister and for such a young age, Lintley knew exactly what her older sister meant. Paul was at one time so in love with his wife, but having three children apparently had pushed her over the edge.
So Lucinda moved to Chicago right away after the divorce, and her three first children never had any communication with her. That actually made them all feel better though, because Linny knew that she didn't really think her mother was a real nice mom when she was little. For some reason, Lucinda always acted like she had some mental problem. She seemed sometimes bipolar, and at other times she would throw huge tantrums. And she was in her late thirties! That was, of course, completely unacceptable behavior for a mother. Let alone a near forty year old woman. Paul didn't even need to put a ban on contacting Lucinda for his children, because they were all mature enough to just know not to do so. So the Wimund kids kept a good distance from their biological mother for a very long time.
Linny was actually born in Indiana, in a town on the very northeastern part of the state. She spent most of her life there, and became who she is today there. She does have many wonderful memories there though. She never attended preschool because of her parents' differences, but she did attend kindergarten. She became fast friends with a girl named Erica, who would later on become her best friend. Her best friend in kindergarten though was a girl named Kayla, who was shy and quiet. That was basically why Linny hung out with her, because Linny is loud and outgoing. People always say that opposites attract, and that was how it was for Linny and Kayla. Her first grade year though, a new school was built in her district and she was to attend a new school. Everyone in her kindergarten class, aside from Erica, would still be attending the same school as their previous year but since Linny lived in a different part of town, she had to go to this new school and had to meet new friends.
Elementary school was fun for Linny. She never really kept the same best friends though, so she was switching every year. Once she actually had a best friend, the next year they wouldn't be in the same class so they would sort of lose touch with one another. It sort of bothered Linny that she could never really keep best friends, but she found that everyone at her old school was always changing best friends. People at her elementary school were sort of stuck up, and that really bothered Linny. She wasn't necessarily one of the 'popular' kids at her old school, and sometimes that bothered her and occasionally she wished she was. That was when she was 'weak' though, or that is what she would call herself now. Somewhere between fifth and seventh grade, Linny became a whole new person.
Growing up, Linny lived mostly just with her dad since Coralie was married and Gavin lived only with his dog. Linny noticed how her father always seemed lonely at home, almost miserable. She did her best to hang out with him and keep him company whenever she could but she couldn't help but think that her father wanted the empty space in his heart that Lucinda had once filled to be filled once again. Linny had tried numerous times to hook her father up with singles around town. Each time that she had finally gotten someone though, Paul always turned them down eventually. Although Linny would like to keep trying to help her dad, (especially now that he is living completely alone,) he just seems to brush her help aside. She has just sort of given up with him.
The winter after Linny had just turned thirteen, Lucinda had finally tried to contact her biological children. This really angered Paul, and he didn't want his children to go see her because he feared that she still might be unstable with their children. Linny, Gavin, and Coralie thought they should go see their mother though and Coralie being the persuasive twenty-five year old she was at the time persuaded her father into letting them take the near five hour trip to Chicago. When they got there, they found that their mother was now married to a business man who worked in some big office building within Chicago and they were living out in the Chicago suburbs. The man she married was James Pratt, and he had five children of his own whom Lucinda treated like her own dear children. She actually treated them better than she treated her own children. Although Linny got along with James's children, she couldn't help but sort of hate them, and she really hated her mother for leaving them and rebuilding her life with this stranger whom she also had two twins with four years upon the arrival of Linny, Gavin, and Coralie. Delaney and Tevin were four years old, and Linny's new half brother and sister. She preferred to just refer to them as James's other kids though, and refused to call them her half siblings. Kiefer and Taylor were James's oldest twins, and they were sixteen then. Then Jericho was fourteen, Cheyenne was eleven, and Jacob was nine. Linny spent that Christmas with Lucinda and her new family, and Lucinda did try to make up for the lost time over the past nine years. Linny and her real siblings didn't really care though, and they were all glad when they finally went back home.
The summer after Linny's seventh grade year was just a little tough for her. She had made such good friends in the small, northeastern Indiana town but her father had gotten promoted to a bigger company near San Diego and she was moving half way across the country. When she got there though, she made fast friends with four girls whom she now considers the best people in the whole world. During Linny's freshman year, she and her four best friends started up their band The Friday Heartache Sessions, and by then Linny was a rebellious teenager with brightly colored orange hair. Everything was about to change for Lintley Wimund.
Just in this past year, her band signed with Turnpike Records and they are now on the international Ultimatum Tour. Linny is filling the position of lead singer, as she has from the beginning. She hopes that her band will soon hit it off big, and stay remembered. Linny doesn't like to be forgotten, and she doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon.
